Chief Heavy Metallurgist, Ben Challis, if that is his real identity, is shrouded in mystery and enigma. He has gained notoriety as a composer of music, but not content to simply create it, his meddlesome mind led him to the discovery of his powers of advanced sound manipulation. These skills have been tested extensively in the field and are an integral ingredient for the mysterious magnum opus underway at Games Alchemist.

Ben Challis is a composer and field recordist with extensive experience in creating music and manipulating sound for theatre, digital media, sound installations and multisensory environments. He has worked on a number of projects for independent games companies and is also experienced as a programmer, working with audio-middlewares to implement adaptive and responsive music and sound design for interactive environments.
